I know you're tired!

Zealand tricked me into thinking he was going to go to bed at 8pm. HA! He started acting so tired so I got all set up to feed him and put him to bed. I fed him his usual amount and he fell asleep. I had to burp him but he stayed asleep. I fed him his second usual amount and burped him again. Still asleep. I put him in his bed on his side and he rolled over and looked at me. Wide awake. I left the room thinking he'd do his usual talking until he fell asleep but instead he fussed and then cried. I went back in and patted his back until he calmed down. Then I walked out and he started to cry again. I went back in and picked him up. He immediately stopped and looked around. I held him and rocked him and he just stared at me and smiled. I put him back in his crib, he started crying again. I picked him up and put him on my bed to feed him some more. He ate for a couple minutes, rolled on his back and started to giggle. Is this a joke to him?! I burped him and put him back into his bed and left the room. Cried again! I went back in and picked him up, again he stopped. I laid down on my bed with him and just let him roll around for a while. Then he laid there facing me and just stared. He smiled behind his binky and I just gave into it. He put his hands on my face and grabbed my face. I kissed his hands and told him to be soft. He rolled close to me and I rubbed his back and head while we snuggled. I just thought to myself, "These are the things that matter!" Even though it took two hours to get him to bed, I shouldn't stress. Just take it all in. He just wanted to hang out with his mom! Wow, my son is nothing short of amazing and I am so grateful and so blessed to have him in my life. I love you ZZ!
